Community

Participation / Collaboration / Social Engagement

Healthy communities need healthy outdoor environments and the support to keep civic spaces clean, safe and secure.

That includes protecting our soil and water, our native ecosystems, conservation areas, watershed areas, locally owned farms, and all green space. Outdoor spaces that support healthy, sustainable communities can engage multiple partners, from the municipal government, to community and private charitable foundations, schools, arts organizations, health charities, and individual volunteers.

My professional experience in this area includes ecoart installations, botanical, community and memorial gardens, therapeutic and other specialized outdoor spaces for citizens with different abilities.

I love to support projects in the community that involve the development, construction and caretaking of public pollinator and food gardens, and other natural habitats that are accessible for all people. Components of community projects such as these can also include volunteer and job opportunities for underserved populations, multidisciplinary arts education offerings, and more.
